Agile Controller 3.0 Among the Flurry of Announcements at Huawei Connect
Huawei has unveiled Agile Controller 3.0, a software-defined networking solution.
Agile Controller 3.0 allows for automated deployment, on-demand bandwidth adjustment, optimization, and resource reservation in enterprise and service provider networks. Huawei says it’s suitable for use in enterprise campus, data center network, the Internet of Things, and wide area network environments.
This new release was just one of many announcements from Huawei last week at it’s CONNECT 2016 event in Shanghai, at which more than 20,000 ICT representatives from more than 120 countries gathered.
For example, the company used the event as a platform from which to launch its new Agile Network 2016 brand of solutions. The first new solutions under this banner include Cloud Campus and CloudVPN.
Cloud Campus allows for campus network planning, deployment, and O&M, enabling services to be provisioned within minutes through the use of flexible switching between the local management and cloud-based management of network devices.
“Cloud Campus provides customers with a flexible service mode,” Huawei explains. “Customers can not only choose services provided by Huawei or MSPs, but can also build enterprise-level cloud management platforms themselves.”
CloudVPN is an SD-WAN solution, allowing businesses to use the best of all available access connections for network optimization and cost savings.
Here’s a quick rundown of some of the other news from Huawei CONNECT 2016:
